These sand box diggers are scratched and or have other paint and finish defects such as paint chips, but they are new and will function as they should.  Most will have a very minor chip or scratch.  Its the luck of the draw whether you get a little more of a blemish or not...
They include our various models and colors.  The box may be in used condition.  See whats available in the "style" dropdown menu.

The digger has been a huge hit with our kids! It arrived quickly, before we finished building the sandbox, but the kids used it inside at first to scoop Duplos and then took it outside to scoop mulch and dirt. It will be great for snow too. Our small-for-their-age four year old twins can maneuver the digger quite well and our six year old does great. The 8 and 11 year old neighbor boys were really interested in the digger too - it really is a great toy for a wide range of ages. We ordered the “with a blemish” digger and were one of the lucky ones! The divot in the paint was minor and doesn’t bother me a bit given the discount and that it’s an outside toy. I really appreciate the company’s integrity, that they ship only perfect products at full price. When I think about the condition my orders have arrived in from other online sellers that I shall not name, this company really excels in customer care. I was debating between this digger and another for quite a while, but the video on the Children’s Needs site highlighting the differences between their diggers and another popular brand helped me make up my mind. They also include a link to an assembly video in the instructions, in case it’s needed. I’m sure it won’t be long before we order a second digger to avoid fights! Overall we had an exceptional experience with this small business, both with the product itself and the customer care. Thanks Children’s Needs!

Awesome digger
My 3.5 year old LOVES the digger. It's very sturdy and well made. We opted for the one with "finish blemishes" to save money and it looks brand new, no blemishes. Only small issue is for the first few days some paint would come off from where the two parts go together, but that seems to have stopped. Pretty easy to put together too!

These diggers are cute and easy for little ones to use. Our playground has gravel and it scoops it up without any problems. It pivots easily and the blemish is very small on the paint.

Childcare center owner
I bought two of the diggers with legs for my outside playground (children ages 3-6 years old). Having State and Health dept. regulations to adhere too as well as liability issues; I researched diggers of all brands and sizes, even more than I did my car before buying it. I worried they would be to big or heavy for some children or to flimsy and easy to tear up for others. Pinch hazards and sharp edges are common when buying metal play equipment so my decision to purchase this brand from this company wasn't taken lightly. I wanted the diggers in yellow but they were not in stock. I opted to try my luck at purchasing two yellow diggers with finish blemishes that were in stock. I could not find the "blemishes"!! I had someone else to look the parts over because I thought I had received new diggers at the discounted price. My research paid off and I couldn't be happier!!

Nice quality with only one issue
I really wanted to love this sand /dirt digger. The quality is very nice and the strength is substantial. However, when the kids are scooping with it, they have a tendency to over extend the scoop which makes it to in the wrong direction. The only way to fix it is to extend it again and manually push the joint /pivot connection the other direction. Only my 6 & 7 year old can figure out how to perform this. I bought it for my 3&5 year old and they get really frustrated and don't understand why the scoop is pulling up instead of down like they want. I'll probably make some type of stop feature to prevent it so I'll give it three stars.
