Beate, After a week of being intimidated by the sling, I finally started using it and am absolutely thrilled with it and wish I hadn't wasted money on a Baby Bjorn, Maya Wrap sling and New Native pouch! The Didymos combines the best of all three carriers/slings. Asa loves the kangaroo-carry, but I would like to start trying other positions. W I've been singing the praises of the sling and have given you a bunch of referrals -- I hope that you get some new orders out of me! Thanks! Brooke

Hello Beate... nice to hear from you. Everything is going great, we love it. I would like to be able to scoot him on my back sometime soon but I think that he may be too young. Hallo Beate!! The Didymos arrived yesterday. My husband found it on the front porch after dinner. I was thrilled and of course immediately put my daughter, Anika, in it. She was a little too tired and squirmy so she did not last too long. But we did it again today and she was much better. I think we will adjust quickly!! Thank you for sending it so quickly. Thank you also for the finger puppet. That was very sweet of you to include it. I know she will enjoy playing with it!........Sorry I did not respond until now. We were out of town for a few days and I hadn't checked email before we left. We were up in the state of Washington. I carried Anika around Seattle in the Didymos and it was great!! People loved seeing her in it and many told me they had not seen anything like it! Andrea

howdy and thank you so much for your email. yes we did receive our sling yesterday and yes it is a little intimidating....amazing so much fabric can fit in such a small box:) it was initially ordered from a company in california, it was our baby shower gift as our friends all pitched in to get it for us...months later the person who rounded up`was getting the run around, my emails weren't being returned, the ladies at didymos were telling me one thing and cali another....at last we found yall.thank you so much and as we have 5 friends in the next 6 months giving birth we may be talking again soon. peace

Beate, How are things? I visited your website and see that you have lots of new arrivals. You must be very busy with that! How is your garden growing? We have lettuce, spinach, and carrots emerging outside! It is all very exciting. We still must wait a couple of weeks to plant our starts outside as the nights are still too cold.

Finally, the Storchenwiege arrived today. I was really disappointed, as I had to pay $14.59 in duty fees before the post office would give it to me. However, I am extremely pleased with the sling. It is simply gorgeous-I can't stop touching it. The fabric is brilliantly colored and is very soft (much softer than my Didymos). My husband carried our older son(45 lbs) in it already and said it was fantastic. We just returned from a trip to the park so that I could have a turn carrying our baby! It is a terrific length for the rucksack carry, no extra fabric to wrap around and around my waist. I am also amazed at how firmly the knot stays in place, therefore keeping him in a much more snug way. I also have been tucking the fabric at the shoulder when I tie, as you suggested, and that has made a nicer fit as well. Thank you so much! I really wish that there were some way that I could afford another. I really love the Inka pattern-it just looks so beautiful. Is it as lovely in person? Maybe someday, somehow, I can afford one in a 4.1-then I would have a sling for all occasions.

Also, I must mention that the instructions booklet is superb. The why and how of carrying children is just so informative. Anyone considering wearing their baby should read that first and only use a wraparound sling. Since receiving my Didymos, and the information about wearing babies facing out, I cringe whenever I see someone carrying a child in that manner. The documentation in the Storchenwiege is really well written and even more specific-very impressive.

Thank you Beate, for your helping me make the decision to get the Storchenwiege. It is really a special purchase and investment especially since I already own a Didymos. (I just wish that I had a size 5 instead of the size 6 Didymos). In the unlikely event that you should ever have a return on, or know of a secondhand 4.1 Inka, please let me know.
